This theme makes the main window look like HAL's visual interface. The 8 consoles surrounding it are representative of the computer station in the rotating section of the Discovery One.
Each of the consoles cycle thru a series of unique displays. Clicking on any console will force the current display to stop and automatically advance to the next display in sequence.
Each time you open a window using this theme it will play a personalized time of day greeting.
The first time you click on the CLS (Close) button the program will play a personalized text-to-speech messages from a list of pre-programmed messages. The next time you click CLS it will close the window. Not to be confused with the QIT (Quit) button.
The first time you receive a pending message, such as a Page / Deferred message / File transfer, the theme will play another TTS message.
Acknowledgments: The HAL Project Screensaver was used as a reference of what some of the displays looked like making it easier to see and understand as we created our own versions of the individual displays. The Vent-9000 theme has between four to six unique displays per console, whereas the HAL Project Screensaver is far more detailed.
